Arrow Socially Responsible Portfolio
Arrow Private Wealth is proud to inform you that we have recently completed the construction & approval of our Socially Responsible managed portfolio which is now available for investment. Earlier this year, the Arrow Investment Team began the construction of the portfolio following a noticeable shift in cultural trends and feedback from clients.
The portfolio’s socially responsible criteria applies a firm Negative Screen, excluding investments that generate more than 10% of their revenue from either tobacco, dangerous weapons manufacture & distribution and gambling.
Indirectly, the portfolio provides investors with exposure to the following frameworks through the individual specialist asset managers within the portfolio:
ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) Integration – Involves fundamental financial analysis and decision making by investment managers. Many managers believe that sound ESG policies and procedures can be a key driver of investment value and risk mitigation. As a result, managers may expect companies with positive ESG policies to outperform those that do not.
Positive Screening – Involves filtering the investment universe to prioritize companies or projects that have strong ESG & sustainability values relative to alternative options within the sector. Ultimately, the intention of positive screening is to identify the investment options that have the strongest ESG performance.
Impact Investing – Involves specific investments where the intention is to not only provide an appropriate return but assist in addressing a social or environmental issue. Examples of this include projects that have a defined social purpose, as well as environmental investing that typically aims to finance initiatives that address key ecological issues.
Sustainability-themed investing – Investment in themes that specifically relate to sustainability. This commonly involves assets that invest in green technology, sustainable agriculture, green property & clean energy or water technology.
